Accessibility

JY Concepts wants Latin Mass Propers to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we do
- Pages work with a keyboard, with a “Skip to content” link and visible focus outlines.
- Text and buttons meet contrast guidelines in light and dark mode, with links and buttons at least 44 pixels tall.
- Every text on the site, Latin and English, is regular text on the page, readable without JavaScript.
- The liturgical colour of each day is always written out in words, so colour is never the only clue.
- Pages print as a plain single column with large type.
- Text can be enlarged with your browser’s zoom without breaking the layout, down to a 320-pixel-wide screen.
Known limits
The Latin texts carry the accent marks used in liturgical books (for example Dómine), which some screen readers pronounce imperfectly. English is given for the readings only.
